Biography

Sandra Mundava is an Economist at the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ), with extensive expertise in Financial Technology (Fintech), regulatory frameworks, and anti-money laundering and countering finance of terrorism (AML/CFT) compliance. As one of the pioneers in establishing the Fintech Unit at RBZ, she was instrumental in developing the Fintech Regulatory Sandbox, a framework designed to foster innovation while ensuring regulatory compliance in the payments landscape. In addition, she has a strong background in AML/CFT, having previously worked for the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of Zimbabwe.
